Community Input Needed:
Shaping the future of the Port Riverwalk
 Redevelopment Site

Coon Rapids residents, businesses, and community stakeholders are invited to shape the future of development for the Port Riverwalk site situated along Coon Rapids Boulevard between Egret Boulevard and Avocet Street. Each of the four workshops will build on the information that will result in recommendations for the redevelopment of the Port Riverwalk site to be submitted to the Coon Rapids City Council, Planning Commission, and Housing and Redevelopment Authority.

The Corridor Housing Initiative (CHI) is a nationally award winning community engagement process designed to help cities, neighborhoods, and developers proactively plan development along major corridors. The CHI process provides a technical team of design experts, development consultants, and facilitators to explore development options with community stakeholders. The heart of the process involves an interactive exercise that gives participants a hands-on opportunity to consider different development scenarios on identified opportunity sites, and determine whether the projects would be financially viable.

The Port Riverwalk CHI community workshops series will be at Coon Rapids City Center and include:
