CHAPTER 2-100
ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY CODE
FOR THE CITY OF COON RAPIDS
 

THE CITY OF COON RAPIDS DOES ORDAIN:

2-101 Pursuant to the Charter of the City of Coon Rapids, Section 1-311, the City Council does hereby adopt this City Code as a revision, rearrangement, and codification of the City ordinances, complete through December 31, 1981, to be known as Revised City Code - 1982.

2-102 This Code, consisting of parts 2 through 13, inclusive, with the City Charter arranged as part 1 for convenience to the public, hereafter shall be known as the City Code of Coon Rapids. All ordinances or parts of ordinances enacted prior to December 31, 1981, are hereby repealed, except as they may be included in this City Code of Coon Rapids.

2-103 The repeal of any ordinances or portion thereof by the adoption of this Code, shall not affect or impair any act done or right vested or accrued, or any proceedings, suit, or prosecution had or commenced in any cause before such repeal; but every such act done, or right vested or accrued, or proceeding, suit, or prosecution had or commenced shall remain in full force and effect to all intents and purposes as if such ordinance or part thereof so repealed had remained in force. No offense committed and no liability, penalty, or forfeiture, either civilly or criminally, incurred prior to the time when any such ordinance or part thereof shall be repealed or altered by the City Code of Coon Rapids shall be discharged or affected by such repeal or alteration; but prosecutions and suits for such offenses, liabilities, penalties, or forfeitures shall be instituted and proceeded within all respects as if such prior ordinance or part thereof, had not been repealed or altered.

2-104 This City Code of Coon Rapids shall be published in book form, either pamphlet or continuously revised looseleaf, and copies shall be made available by the Council at the office of the City Clerk for general distribution to the public at a reasonable charge.

2-105 Notice is given by the publication of this Ordinance that copies of the City Code of Coon Rapids are available at the office of the City Clerk.

2-106 This Ordinance shall be published in the official newspaper for two (2) successive weeks and the City Code shall take and be in effect 30 days after first publication of this Ordinance, as provided by City Charter, Section 1-309.

Adopted on second reading the 9th day of February, 1982.
