As part of its Scattered Site Acquisition program, the Coon Rapids Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) periodically offers vacant single-family lots for sale. Sale of these lots is contingent on submitting a house plan that complies with several design criteria and is subject to approval of the HRA.

Minnesota Statutes 471.701 requires that "a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest paid employees."
