Landscaping and Beautification
The Forestry Division is responsible for planning, installing and maintaining all landscaped areas within the City's park system, landscaped City buildings, and other public grounds. A significant number of park and public areas have received landscape improvements over the past ten years, from small sign plantings to complete site renovations involving hundreds of plants.

The Senior Center garden area located behind the City Center boasts many newly landscaped features including a gazebo, arched trellis, patio with grills, pathways, benches, and landscape plantings. The site can be rented and is a popular location for weddings and other events.
Resident volunteers help maintain various landscaped areas by assisting with planting, weeding, and other tasks. Without their help, many of our landscape and flower beds wouldn't attain the high level of care they currently receive. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the Landscape Technician, at 763-767-6497 for further information.
