Q. Do I have to be a resident of Coon Rapids to use your recycling center?
A. The Coon Rapids Recycling Center is open to all residents of Anoka County. If you live outside Anoka County, contact your local City or County for services.
Q. I live in another County that does not offer some of your services; can we come to your site in Coon Rapids?
A. Unique recycling opportunities are costly. The Coon Rapids/Anoka County program is operated on funding specific for our community. If you live outside Coon Rapids or Anoka County, contact your local City or County and request the specialized services you desire.
Q. I have some old furniture that is not able to be donated. What are my options? Can I bring it to your site?
A. No, the Coon Rapids Recycling center does not have trash on site. If your furniture is at the end of its life you can: 1. Call your trash hauler 2. Contact Elk River Landfill 763-441-2464, or 3. Call the transfer station in Blaine 763-784-4772.
Q. Can I come to the recycling center to get coupons that have been left for recycling?
Answer: Yes, currently we are running a pilot program to help get coupon re-use out to those who want it. You can drop off coupons or pick them up. There is a limit of 5 coupon sections per family. Coupons are located inside the Recycling Center.
