Recycling in Apartments and Multi-Units

In Coon Rapids, there are over 6,600 apartments, condominiums, quads and townhouses. By state law you must be able to recycle four broad types of materials (cans, glass, paper, plastic) at your complex. Check with your apartment manager for types of items and preparation of materials that can be recycled at your building.

It's easy to recycle:

  • Rinse containers, remove caps
  • Check your recycling area to see how others in your building sort their recylables
  • Take your recyclables to the central collection area
  • Offer moving boxes to others or flatten for recycling
  • Keep recyling area clean and free of litter
