General Election - Tuesday, November 3, 2020
The 2020 elections will include various federal, state, county, judicial and local offices.
In conjunction with the State General Election, Coon Rapids will hold its municipal election Nov. 3, 2020. Coon Rapids voters will elect Councilmembers in Wards 1, 2, 4, and a Councilmember At Large at the November General Election.
Terms for these Council positions are four years beginning Jan.1, 2021 and ending Dec. 31, 2024.

- September 18, 2020 - In-person Absentee voting for the general election begins September 18 at either Coon Rapids City Hall or the Anoka County Elections Office. You may also vote by mail by using an absentee ballot. Request a ballot by mail by visiting mnvotes.org.
- October 27, 2020 - Voters wishing to vote early in person can place their ballot directly into the voting machine, rather than use absentee ballot envelopes, for one week prior to the general election. Direct balloting begins October 27 at City Hall.
- November 3, 2020 - General Election Day. Your polling location is dependent on the address where you live. Polling locations are open for voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
