The Senior Center is currently closed until further notice.
City staff will continue to follow state and federal guidelines regarding gatherings and use of public facilities due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). Staff will reevaluate on a week-to-week basis to determine when senior activities will resume.
While the Senior Center building remains closed, senior programming has taken on a new twist…online. Activities hosted online will be announced in a weekly electronic newsletter, Coon Rapids Senior Connect.

Coon Rapids Senior Connect links seniors to programming, tips and resources online organized by Coon Rapids Senior Services staff.
Each week, the newsletter is emailed to participants featuring interesting articles, recipes, links to fun classes and presentations presented on Zoom (video conferencing software) and other information to keep you entertained while safe at home.

Senior Services provides activities, services and educational information for seniors, their families and caregivers. Programming is designed to meet the needs of older adults in a safe and fun environment.
Funded by the City of Coon Rapids, programs are available to adults age 55 and older. Some activities are free of charge while others may require a fee.
Our Senior Services facility is staffed by two employees along with many volunteers. Our volunteers help organize activities, drive our senior transportation van along with many other duties.
An Advisory Board also helps to guide decision making and programming at the facility.
Coon Rapids Senior Services offers many events and activities for participants to give back to the community. From volunteering at Feed My Starving Children in Coon Rapids, to collecting school supplies and other donations, our volunteers are always looking for ways to help others in the community.
Red Cross Blood Drives take place several times a year at the Coon Rapids Senior Center. Look for signs outside of the facility or check for dates and times in the "Voice of Experience" senior newsletter.
