The streets of downtown Anoka turned into a food lover’s paradise July 21st. For the second year, dozens of food trucks lined up to offer flavors from around the world. The Anoka Food Truck Festival brought more than 45 food trucks and thousands of hungry customers together.
“We were well received here once so we came back year two even bigger and stronger,” said Tom Broich with Uptown Food Truck Festival.
The festival is teaming up with Feed My Starving Children to providing meals for families in one of 70 countries through water and beer sales.
“This is an event based so heavily on food we thought what a beautiful tie in to actually give meals away by participating in this event,” said Broich.
Last year the Food truck festival raised enough money to provide more than 100 thousand meals by raising $23,000. This year, it expects to exceed that.
