For the third straight year, the Anoka Technical College hosted a "manufacturing career intent signing day" this week.The Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce joined with industry partners and the Anoka Technical College to promote careers in the manufacturing industry. Employers are interested in finding workers with certain skillsets to meet the demand. Students from Anoka Tech and three area school districts got letters of intent signed to show their interest.The median wage for manufacturing jobs in Anoka County is more than $76,000 a year. The Anoka Technical College has a 100 percent placement rate for graduates in the manufacturing program.
