Groundbreaking for New Apartment

New Building Groundbreaking

Developers broke ground on a new 168-unit apartment complex in the Port Evergreen area near 94th Avenue and Springbrook Drive Thursday, November 7, 2019. The complex, named Spring House Apartments, will be developed by St. Paul-based Real Estate Equities. The project will include several amenities, including an outdoor patio with fire pit, bocce ball court, fitness center, tot lot, dog run, underground parking, solid surface counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and in-unit laundry. All units in the proposed building would be affordable to households earning 60% of area median income. In 2019, the rent limits corresponded to a maximum of $1050 for an efficiency unit, $1,124 for a one-bedroom unit, $1,350 for a two-bedroom unit, and $1,560 for a three-bedroom unit.

An open house was held on the project in February and the Coon Rapids City Council approved the project in June.

Visit this section of the website to see more information about this project, including maps and drawings of the building.
