Ice Rinks Open - Warming House Hours

Ice rinks now open - skaters playing hockey

The Ice Rinks are Ready!

Coon Rapids offers many skating options within its park system. There are 5 regulation outdoor hockey rinks and 4 open skating rinks available for skaters in the city. Rinks are maintained daily with a routine schedule of ice shaving, sweeping, snow removal, and flooding as weather conditions permit.

Warming House Hours:

December 20 thru mid-February (weather permitting)

Monday-Friday5-8:30 p.m.
Saturday and school-out days1-8:30 p.m.
Sunday1-6 p.m.
  • Warming houses and ice rinks are closed if cold temperatures become extreme. Closure occurs when temperatures reach -10 or -25 wind chill.
  • Warming houses are closed on holidays.
  • While warming houses are open specific hours, outdoor rinks are open during normal park hours, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
