City Meetings Move to Virtual Platform

Virtual Meetings

Due to the ongoing pandemic of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the City of Coon Rapids will change its public meeting format starting in April and until further notice.
The City Council meeting taking place Tuesday, April 7, 2020 will be the first virtual meeting held instead of in-person meetings at Coon Rapids City Hall.

There are multiple ways for the public to still participate in the meetings before and during the actual meeting.

Public Comment Before a Meeting
If you have public comments to submit before a meeting, send your comments to clerk@coonrapidsmn.gov or call City Clerk Joan Lenzmeier at 763-767-6493. Public comments will be received up until noon on the day of the meeting. Comments will be compiled and delivered to the Coon Rapids City Council or appropriate commission.

Public Comment During a Meeting
During the meeting, members of the public who wish to comment during public comment times will be asked to join the meeting on the Zoom webinar platform. Meeting attendees will be able to click the "raise hand button", and this will alert City staff that an individual wishes to comment. When it is time for comments, individuals will be recognized and their microphones will be enabled allowing them to comment. Zoom meeting information can be found in the calendar notification for each meeting listed on the City website. For City Council Work Sessions, please find the Zoom meeting information contained within the agenda link on the City website.

Ways to Watch a Meeting
If you are interested in watching the City of Coon Rapids City Council meetings, you can view them live on channels 16 (standard definition) and 799 (high definition) on Xfinity (Comcast) cable television service or through the YouTube Channel where it is streamed live.
