See you in 2021!

4th of July Announcement

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the City of Coon Rapids has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Coon Rapids 4th of July Community Celebration. The public health recommendations surrounding large gatherings, combined with the safety of the public, vendors, organizers, volunteers and City staff has led to the decision of canceling the event. The 2020 event will not be rescheduled; instead the public is invited to mark their calendars for the 2021 event which will take place July 2-4.

Being voted one of the best fireworks shows in the Twin Cities, the Coon Rapids 4th of July Community Celebration takes place July 2-4 each year, on the grounds of Boulevard Plaza, located at 11000 Crooked Lake Blvd. The event features a parade, car show, live music, games, rides, bingo, Coon Rapids Firecracker 10k, 5K & Kids Fun Run and outstanding fireworks. The event is sponsored by the Coon Rapids Community Strength Foundation, the Coon Rapids North Star Lions Club and the Coon Rapids Fire Social Group.

On behalf of the entire group of individuals that put in hundreds of hours to organize this fantastic community event, we thank the public for their continued support and look forward to a great event next year!
