Seniors Take Part in Parking Lot Bingo

Here’s something you don’t see everyday.  A drive-in bingo session!

On Monday, local seniors took part in Parking Lot Bingo at the Coon Rapids Soccer Complex.  They tuned into a special FM station to hear the bingo caller, marked off the numbers drawn and then used their car horn to signal a win.

A total of seven regular games and one cover-all were played.  The winners received gift certificates to local restaurants in a move to help support our small businesses.

Two more car bingo sessions remain: one September 21 and the other on September 28.  To reserve a spot, call 763-767-6473.  There is a small fee and you must be 55 or over to participate.
