Have a Security Camera?

Join the Community Watch Team

Businesses are invited to join a growing network of community volunteers in helping the Coon Rapids Police Department with crime prevention. The Community Watch Team brings together businesses and individuals to partner with police in keeping the community safe. One component of the program is the Community Camera Program – a voluntary sign up program that encourages residents and businesses to register the location of security cameras. If police are investigating a crime in an area where they know a camera is located, it helps connect officers with possible camera footage. Information of those who register is kept in a secure database. If businesses decide to sign up for the program, they can also choose to have a Community Watch Team sticker placed in their window, to let customers know they partner with the police department.

Visit the Police Department website to sign up.
