The Anoka-Hennepin School District announced this morning that Superintendent David Law has accepted the superintendent position with the Minnetonka Public School District. He will start his new role on July 1 (subject to approval of a contract).
A graduate of Coon Rapids High School, Law served in the Anoka-Hennepin School District for 24 years, the last eight as superintendent. He previously served as a classroom teacher and assistant principal.
Anoka-Hennepin School Board chair Marci Anderson released a statement that reads in part, "Superintendent Law has demonstrated outstanding leadership for our school district and has emerged as a state and national leader in education. Academic excellence for our students continues to increase, graduation rates are on the rise and our focus on improvement has flourished under his watch."
A timeline for Law's replacement has not been announced.
