Snowplowing Update for November 30 & December 1
Coon Rapids is expected to receive 4 to 7 inches of snow, starting late this afternoon and evening and into tomorrow morning. Snowplow crews will be out plowing city streets starting at 3 a.m. December 1. Please make sure all vehicles are removed from city streets until the plow has gone by. Crews will work throughout the early morning and daytime hours to plow the city’s main streets and residential streets. Sidewalks will be plowed as soon as crews are able.
A reminder about the Winter Parking Ban: This parking restriction is in effect from now until April 1. This means vehicles cannot be parked on the street anytime between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Parking is also prohibited on public streets anytime there is an accumulation of three inches of snow or until the street has been plowed from curb-to-curb.
A reminder about garbage and recycling pickup: City code requires you to place your waste and recycling carts out of the roadway, and behind the curb. This helps our snowplow drivers clean the streets from curb to curb. Thank you for your help!
