Snowplowing Update for December 26, 2015
Snowplow crews will be out today plowing the entire city. Crews are focusing on main roadways first, then they will plow the neighborhood streets. Cul-de-sacs will be plowed around the outer edges, something we call "ringing the cul-de-sacs." Snow will be left in the middle of the cul-de-sac until crews are able to come back and pick it all up at a later time (not today). Please make sure all vehicles are removed from city streets until the plow has gone by. Sidewalks will be plowed as soon as crews are able. So far, Coon Rapids has received about 3.5 inches of snow and more snow may come later today.
A reminder about the Winter Parking Ban: This parking restriction is in effect from November 1 until April 1. This means vehicles cannot be parked on the street anytime between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Parking is also prohibited on public streets anytime there is an accumulation of three inches of snow or until the street has been plowed from curb-to-curb.
A reminder about garbage and recycling pickup: City code requires you to place your waste and recycling carts out of the roadway, and behind the curb. This helps our snowplow drivers clean the streets from curb to curb. Thank you for your help!
