Snowplowing Update for February 2 & 3
Coon Rapids is expected to receive anywhere between 5 and 8 inches of snow (forecasts vary) today and into late this evening. City snowplow crews have already been out this afternoon, clearing main city roadways and will continue for the next few hours.
Crews will be out again starting at 2 a.m. February 3, to finish clean up from the storm. All city streets (including neighborhood streets) will be plowed.
Please make sure all vehicles are removed from city streets until the plow has gone by. Our crews greatly appreciate your help!
Sidewalks will be plowed as soon as crews are able.
A reminder about the Winter Parking Ban: This parking restriction is in effect from November 1 until April 1. This means vehicles cannot be parked on the street anytime between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. Parking is also prohibited on public streets anytime there is an accumulation of three inches of snow or until the street has been plowed from curb-to-curb.
A reminder about garbage and recycling pickup: City Code requires you to place your waste and recycling carts out of the roadway, and behind the curb. This helps our snowplow drivers clean the streets from curb to curb. Thank you for your help!
