2022 Construction is Underway!

2022 Street Reconstruction Project 22-1


4.2 miles of residential streets north of 119th Avenue and east of Round Lake Boulevard, including streets south of 119th Avenue south to 117th Avenue between Kerry Street and Jonquil Street; and the 117th Lane cul-de-sac east of Northdale Boulevard

The Contractor for this project is Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC. The Contractor’s main contact is Ryan Kerr at 320-679-8937 (office) or 320-515-0046 (cell). The City’s full-time project inspector is Jason Huebscher, who can be contacted at any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Work in the phase 3 area (Wedgewood Drive between Round Lake Boulevard and 119th Avenue including all adjacent side streets) and phase 4 area (streets north of 119th Avenue and east of Round Lake Boulevard to 121st Avenue including 120th Avenue and Tulip Street) next week includes completion of the final wear course pavements. This work was planned to be completed the week of September 26 but will carry over into next week.

Work in the phase 5 area (streets south of 119th Avenue between Kerry and Jonquil Street plus the Marigold and Kerry Street cul-de-sacs north of 119th Avenue and 117th Lane east of Northdale Blvd) next week includes mailbox restorations starting on October 3 as well as the final wear course pavement.

All irrigation systems on this project have now been restored. Property owners should contact the City if they find any issues this fall while winterizing their systems.

Street light replacements/LED upgrades within the 22-1 project area will be taking place as materials become available and will continue over the next several weeks. All street lights that have been temporarily taken down to accommodate construction will be reinstated.

2022 Street Reconstruction Project 22-2


3.6 miles of residential streets north of 119th Avenue along Zea Street west of Round Lake Boulevard and south of Wedgewood Drive; Zea Street between 119th Avenue and Blackfoot Street; streets south of 119th Avenue and north of Coon Rapids Boulevard between Round Lake Boulevard and Silverod Street

The Contractor for this project is Douglas-Kerr Underground, LLC. The Contractor’s main contact is Ryan Kerr at 320-679-8937 (office) or 320-515-0046 (cell). The City’s full-time project inspector is Zach Pfieffer, who can be contacted at any time to respond to specific questions or concerns. Zach can be reached at 763-767-6431 (office) or 612-710-8243 (cell).

Phase 1 (streets west of Round Lake Boulevard along Zea Street) is complete. The remaining work includes sawing and sealing the new bituminous asphalt pavement surfaces. Property owners should contact the City if there are any issues with repaired irrigation systems.

City staff has received numerous requests to restore yards disturbed by Comcast relocation work – we are forwarding these requests to Comcast staff, who have assured the City they will restore any areas disturbed by their work with topsoil and seed. Residents should also contact the City if there are any concerns with Comcast relocation work.

Phase 2 (streets east of Round Lake Blvd and south of 119th Avenue) is complete. The remaining work includes the installation of any remaining new street lights. Property owners in the phase 2 areas should contact the City if there are any issues with repaired irrigation systems.
