Election Judges Needed from the Two Major Political Parties
The City of Coon Rapids is seeking Election Judges from the two major political parties for the upcoming Primary Election on Tuesday, August 9.
Due to numerous election judges becoming unable to work the Primary Election, the City has several precincts that are out of party balance.
Minn. Stat. 204B.19, Subd. 5: Party Balance Requirement
No more than half of the election judges in a precinct may be members of the same major political party unless the election board consists of an odd number of election judges, in which case the number of election judges who are members of the same major political party may be one more than half the number of election judges in that precinct.
If you interested in serving as an Election Judge, please contact the City Clerk by email or call 763-767-6493.
Election Judges are vital to the election process! It takes over 250 people to help out at 22 polling locations in Coon Rapids! These are paid positions.
