Snowplowing Update 4-14-18 & 4-15-18
We need your help to move cars off the streets!
Coon Rapids snowplow crews have been out plowing main City streets for several hours and will be plowing neighborhood streets during the late afternoon and evening today. We really need the public's help to move cars off the streets, and keep cars off the streets until the plow has gone by.
You will see plows come through your neighborhoods BOTH today and tomorrow. As it relates to cul-de-sacs, crews will "ring" the cul-de-sacs today, meaning they will plow around the outside of the cul-de-sac, and then they will come back to finish a full cleaning of the middle of the cul-de-sacs tomorrow.
Crews will be out in neighborhoods again tomorrow morning starting around 7 am, so please remove your cars again so that the snowplows can do a full cleaning of the streets from curb-to-curb. More snow is expected through the evening hours tonight which will necessitate another round of plowing tomorrow.
While the winter parking ban technically ended April 1, we still need the public's help in moving cars off the street during large snow storms such as what we are experiencing today. Moving cars helps our snowplow drivers clear the streets as thoroughly as possible without cars being in the way. Your help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you and have a great evening.
