Street Reconstruction Project 19-1 – 4 miles of residential streets

Work during the week of August 5 includes remaining restorations in Area 2 (Partridge Street, Raven Street, 123rd Lane, and 124th Avenue). Final wear course paving for Area 2 is expected the week of August 12. Remaining hydrant and valve replacements and completion of concrete curb installations will take place in the first portion of the last project phase (Area 3 - streets south of and including 131st Avenue). Hydrant and valve replacements as well as curb removals will begin on local streets in Area 3 north of 131st Avenue. 

Street Reconstruction Project 19-2 – 2.3 miles of MSA streets (Foley Boulevard from 115th Avenue to 124th Avenue, Wedgewood Drive from Main Street to Round Lake Boulevard, Olive Street from 121st Avenue to Main Street) 

The Contractor for this project is Park Construction. The Contractor's main contact is Dan Bodza, who can be reached at 612-248-7760 (cell). On Olive Street, work during the week of August 5 will include completion of concrete driveways and curb and gutter from 121st Avenue to 123rd Avenue. Completion of remaining watermain construction is also expected between 123rd Avenue and Main Street. Work will wrap up on remaining watermain valve and fitting replacements on Foley Boulevard next week. The Contractor will work toward placing remaining asphalt base course pavement on the west side of Foley Boulevard by the end of next week. Its anticipated work will shift to the east side of Foley Boulevard by mid-August.

Street Reconstruction Project 19-3 – 3.3 miles of residential streets

Work during the week of August 5 includes sod installations in the Phase 1A area (Flintwood Street, Goldenrod Street, 114th Avenue, 116th Avenue, Evergreen Street, Evergreen Circle, and 117th Avenue). Storm sewer installations, placing gravel on the streets, and possibly curb and gutter installations are expected to begin in the Phase 1B area where watermain pipe replacements took place (Bridgewater neighborhood consisting of Alder Street, Butternut Street, Cottonwood Street, 116th Avenue, 116th Lane, and 117th Avenue). Existing pavement in Phase 1B on the north half of Bridgewater will be reclaimed.

Valve and hydrant replacements will be completed on Springbrook Drive, and work on the temporary watermain system will begin on the Mississippi Boulevard segment. Concrete work will continue on the west side of Springbrook Drive as well.

Trail Reconstruction Project 19-9 – Erlandson Park Pedestrian Bridge & Dahlia Park Culvert Installation

Work during the week of August 5 includes the placement of new abutments for the new pedestrian bridge in Erlandson Park near 111th Avenue and Avocet Street. Trail access will remain closed in this area. 

Trail Reconstruction Project 19-11 – Wedgewood Trail, Nelson Park Trails, and Trackside Park Trails

This project is substantially complete. The Contractor will continue final restoration activities for the Wedgewood Trail system, as well as Nelson and Trackside Parks.

Port Riverwalk Development Project 19-12 – Grading, Erosion Control, and Turf Establishment 

The Contractor for this project is North Pine Aggregate. The Contractor's main contact is Jake Jensen, who can be reached at 651-888-7907 (office) or 612-770-6682 (cell). Construction activities, including clearing and grubbing of existing trees and vegetation, will continue during the week of August 5. 

Anoka County Project – Hanson Boulevard (CSAH 78) Railroad Bridge Overpass

Hanson Boulevard is a County road in Coon Rapids (north of Coon Rapids Boulevard). The County’s Contractor for this project is C.S McCrossan. Harry Grams is the County’s Construction Supervisor, and can be contacted at 763-324-3114.
