Street Reconstruction Project 19-1 – 4 miles of residential streets

Work during the week of August 12 will include final wear course paving within Area 2 (Partridge Street, Raven Street, 123rd Lane, and 124th Avenue), expected to occur on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Concrete curb installations will take place on remaining areas within the south half of Area 3 (streets south of and including 131st Avenue). Hydrant and valve replacements and curb removals are now expected to begin on local streets in Area 3 north of 131st Avenue next week.

Street Reconstruction Project 19-2 – 2.3 miles of MSA streets (Foley Boulevard from 115^th Avenue to 124^th Avenue, Wedgewood Drive from Main Street to Round Lake Boulevard, Olive Street from 121^st Avenue to Main Street)

The Contractor for this project is Park Construction. The Contractor's main contact is Dan Bodza, who can be reached at 612-248-7760 (cell). Rene Garcia (612-360-4707) with Park Construction is the Contractor point of contact for watermain pipe replacements. Work planned for the week of August 12 includes paving asphalt base course pavement from 121^st Avenue to 122^nd Avenue. Concrete curb is expected on Olive Street from 123^rd Avenue to Main Street as well. Boulevard restorations on Olive Street will commence following curb and asphalt operations. Remaining areas on the west side of Foley Boulevard will be paved early next week, and restoration operations will take place immediately following pavement installation.

Looking ahead, work on Wedgewood Boulevard is planned to begin the week of August 19, as well as construction on the east side of Foley Boulevard. Replacement of the Sand Creek culverts is tentatively planned to occur during the month of September. This culvert work will require the closure of Foley Boulevard at the Sand Creek crossing which is located south of 118^th Avenue. As the schedule for this work is finalized, more information will be mailed to area residents regarding access and detour plans.

Street Reconstruction Project 19-3 – 3.3 miles of residential streets

Work during the week of August 12 will include completion of gravel base and installation of concrete curb in the Phase 1B area where watermain pipe replacements took place (Bridgewater neighborhood consisting of Alder Street, Butternut Street, Cottonwood Street, 116th Avenue, 116th Lane, and 117th Avenue).

Concrete curb and irrigation repairs are planned for the southbound segment of Springbrook Drive.

Work on the new watermain system on Mississippi Boulevard between Hanson Boulevard and Ibis Street will begin.

On Flora Street north of 109^th Lane (adjacent to the Coon Rapids Ice Center), curb removal work and installation of the new watermain system is planned.

Trail Reconstruction Project 19-9 – Erlandson Park Pedestrian Bridge & Dahlia Park Culvert Installation

Work during the week of August 12 includes the placement of the new pedestrian bridge in Erlandson Park near 111^th Avenue and Avocet Street (tentatively planned for Thursday). Trail access remains closed in this area.

Trail and culvert work within Dahlia Park is planned to begin the week of August 19.

Trail Reconstruction Project 19-11 – Wedgewood Trail, Nelson Park Trails, and Trackside Park Trails

This project is substantially complete.

Port Riverwalk Development Project 19-12 – Grading, Erosion Control, and Turf Establishment

Work during the week of August 12 includes initial topsoil stripping and installation of erosion control devices (silt fence).

Anoka County Project – Hanson Boulevard (CSAH 78) Railroad Bridge Overpass

Hanson Boulevard is a County road in Coon Rapids (north of Coon Rapids Boulevard). The County’s Contractor for this project is C.S McCrossan. Harry Grams is the County’s Construction Supervisor, and can be contacted at 763-324-3114.
