Allina Cuts Ribbon on Call Center

Brings New Jobs to Coon Rapids

Allina Health cut the ribbon on a newly remodeled 58,000 square foot building in July, making Coon Rapids home to an expansive Customer Experience Center. The new call center will field approximately eight million phone calls from customers and 400,000 online appointments each year.

About 300 existing employees were moved to the Coon Rapids location, while approximately 200 new hires will be phased in during the coming months. Additional job openings are expected to be available every two weeks until the building is fully staffed next year. The entry level jobs offer extensive training, opportunity for advancement and a new state of the art workplace.

Unique features like a mothers’ room for nursing, serenity and meditation rooms, recreation and fitness areas, and a well-stocked cafe are designed to attract and retain employees.

Construction of new office-warehouse building along Highway 10

New Industrial Projects

Construction Underway in Coon Rapids

JSN Properties has begun site work and received building permits for a new 85,000 square foot multi-tenant office-warehouse building (pictured) along Highway 10. The property is adjacent to the USF Holland freight terminal at 11201 Xeon Street.

Coon Rapids-based Steinwall, Inc. has purchased a 145,000 square foot warehouse at 11225 Xeon Street, allowing the plastics manufacturer to expand. The facility replaces a smaller warehouse in Brooklyn Park. Steinwall produces molded parts for a variety of industries, including agriculture, automotive, and computers. The new warehouse will house about 30 employees and allow for storage and secondary manufacturing operations within close proximity to Steinwall’s main manufacturing facility in Coon Rapids.

Green Bay Packaging, which produces corrugated cardboard shipping containers and displays, is constructing over 100,000 square feet of additional space at its facility on 87th Lane NW, which was first built in 1996. The additions include 44,215 square feet in warehouse space, more than doubling the existing capacity; 47,770 square feet to expand production with additional assembly lines and material staging; 6,490 square feet for training room, new restrooms and larger employee break/lunch room expansion; and 2,220 square feet for office, meeting room and product design space. The additional capacity is needed to meet increased demand and anticipated sales growth once the company completes a new state-of-the-art paper mill in Wisconsin. Green Bay Packaging expects to add about 20 jobs in Coon Rapids upon completion of the expansion.
