PEP Talk Interest Form

  2. Coon Rapids Police are passionate about public education and crime prevention. Complete this interest form to request a PEP Talk about a topic of your choice. A community outreach officer will then contact you to schedule a visit from a member of the police department at your residence, business or community organization.

    Most PEP Talks are about an hour long and will be tailored to your group.

    This PEP Talk will introduce you to lifesaving CPR and defibrillator training to use in emergency situations. You will learn how to operate an AED and important steps to take while waiting for emergency responders to arrive.

    This class will teach people of all ages about common scams that are reported in our city. We teach about the scams, and steps you can take to protect yourself and others.

    This training session will teach participants the concept of run, hide, fight during an active shooter incident or other violent situation.

    Our police officers will inspect your home and learn about your household routines. We can identify what might make your home an easy target and offer suggestions to make the property more secure against burglars and vandals.

    This class is designed for liquor license holders. Police will provide important instruction on proper ID checking and strategies to prevent overserving patrons.

    Request an officer to come to your location. Officers can speak generally about many public safety topics or simply come to just say hi!
