The Invisible Wounds Project invites you to pay tribute and remember the life of Lino Lakes Police Officer Shawn Silvera who tragically lost his life while on duty September 6, 2005.

Join us for the Shawn Silvera Memorial 5K, which is part of the Freedom Fest celebration, raising money for the Invisible Wounds Project. Registration starts at 8 a.m. followed by the 5K at 9 a.m. and the Daisy Dash at 10 a.m. The Invisible Wounds Project is a local MN based nonprofit providing therapy services and other resources for Minnesota’s military, first responders, frontline medical staff, corrections, dispatch, and their families related to mental health, PTSD, and suicide issues.

After the run, stick around for family friendly activities throughout the day, including Touch A Truck, kids games/activities, vendors, food, the Cruise For Heroes car/truck/bike cruise and show. Also that evening there is a concert with country star Josh Turner!
